the picture above shows the antenna tuner ah-4 from icom at the upper end of the long wire antenna. in the background you see “Anninger” with elevation of 3,4 degrees in 11,1 km distance. the long wire is about 18 m long, the upper end is about 11 m and the lower end 4 m above ground. the lower end is also connected with an ceramic isolator and is hold by a dead apricot tree. the wire is isolated copper 1,5 mm2 as used in electrical house installations.
